Here it is, a # 1 hit worldwide on ‘Tickets @ 2,’ it’s “Dancing Queen” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]ABBA[/lastfm].

It was written by ABBA members Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. They drew inspiration from the 1974 [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]George McCrae[/lastfm] disco hit “Rock Your Baby.” This was ABBA’s only # 1 hit in the US, but they did have 14 songs crack the Top-40 here in The States.

Regarding the lyrics, “Night is young and the music’s high,” many listeners interpret this as a statement that music makes you feel high. In ABBA’s part of the world, it simply means that the music is loud.

We’ll take caller # 15 when it plays between two & three for tickets to the 2011 Nascar Spring ‘All-Star’ race viewing party at K-1 Speed Indoor Go Karting in Torrance, plus a pair of Go Kart racing passes; 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
