As the second person ever to host Saturday Night Live since first premiering in 1975, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul Simon[/lastfm] returned to Studio 8H on Saturday, this time as the show’s musical guest, but not without appearing in a few hilarious sketches. Paul turned on his soft-spoken, witty charm that started the show off on a high note before playing two musical sets from his new album So Beautiful, So What.
See Paul Simon banter with the best of late night’s sketch comics, plus see a surprise appearance and guitar solo from the one and only [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lindsey Buckingham[/lastfm] of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Fleetwood Mac[/lastfm] on Saturday Night Live!
Both appearing in the recurring sketch “What Up With That,” Paul Simon and Lindsey Buckingham (along with Glee‘s Chris Colfer) rounded out interruptive host DeAndre Cole’s celebrity guests. If you’ve seen the skit on previous shows, you know that Lindsey is always a guest on the soul show, but is never given a chance to speak; a wrong that Paul Simon so politely tried to make right during his appearance.
But this time, the real Lindsey Buckingham appeared on the show and laid down a rockin’ guitar solo before standing side by side with his impersonator, Bill Hader. Watch the skit below!Vodpod videos no longer available.
