As a war veteran who fought and served in the Iraq war, K-EARTH 101 Morning Show friend Tom Tran shared his feelings about the mission that killed Osama bin Laden in his hideout on Sunday. Hear details from Tom about being right in the action of the war in Iraq and how he feels about the justice brought to Osama in our interview!

A week after being deployed to Iraq in 2002 as a U.S. soldier, Tom was wounded in action during a firefight in which he was shot in the head. Luckily, he survived and was bandaged up and returned to his mission for the next year.

As a soldier who’s lived right in the action of the war, Tom celebrated along with the rest of the world over Osama’s death, but reminds us all that there are still soldiers out in harms way.

“Even though he’s dead and gone now, there are a lot of people still in harms way — Good friends of mine, good friends of yours in uniform. So let’s wait for all of them to come home before we celebrate.”

You can see Tom Tran as part of Gary Bryan’s G.I. Comedy Boot Camp at the Laugh Factory on May 11th. Here more about Tom’s experience in war and his reaction to the big news in our interview below!
