People magazine has new American Idol host and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Aerosmith[/lastfm] rocker Steven Tyler on the cover with the headline “I’m lucky To Be Alive.” And, boy that’s the truth. After decades of hard living of the rock star lifestyle, Steven has finally sobered up and is talking about his new clean life.
Inside the issue, Steven talks about his eight visits to rehab over his career. He’s been sober 18 months now, but says he’s still high, but just on life and American Idol.
Steven went on to say, “I’m stoned when the curtain drops. I just don’t snort the curtain dropping…I don’t snort J-Lo either…though I do breathe her in.” That’s just Steven being Steven.
He’s promoting his new book Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?, which hits book stores on May 3rd. He’s on top of the world right now, and also graces the cover of Rolling Stone this issue.
