In celebration of the recent announcement that Los Angeles’ California Science Center will be the final home for the Endeavour space shuttle, the Griffith Observatory is hosting a free viewing event to watch the Endeavor take its final voyage into space live!

Bring the whole family out to this free event at the end of April to watch a moment in history being made and learn about the Endeavour’s final mission.

On Friday, April 29th, Griffith Observatory is hosting a live coverage of the Endeavour space shuttle blast off for the final mission before permanently retiring at the California Science Center in L.A.

Watch the spaceship launch live from the International Space Station and learn details about the mission, interpret the launch and ask questions to the Griffith Observatory staff on hand.

The event is free and open to the public on Friday, April 29th from 12:30-1:15 pm. For more information and details about the event, visit GriffithObservatory.org
