Those [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kenny Loggins[/lastfm] tickets can be your on ‘Tickets @ 2′ this afternoon if your caller # 12 when we play “If You Leave Me Now” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Chicago[/lastfm].

Chicago’s bass player, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Peter Cetera[/lastfm] (pictured above) wrote it and sang lead. After it became # 1, the band became known for its ballads that featured Cetera’s vocals and de-emphasized the horn section. It was the first Chicago song to feature an acoustic guitar lead, and their first # 1 hit.

This song won a Grammy for best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus and received Record of the Year in 1976.

It was Chicago’s only #1 hit in the UK.

Caller # 12  at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) scores Kenny Loggins tickets when it plays.
