The Queen of Soul, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm], recently discussed with talk show host Wendy Williams about her illness and the symptoms she experienced which clued her in that something was seriously wrong with her health.
Before going in for her surgery in December, Franklin was experiencing such severe pain, she was unable to stand, which caused her to cancel her upcoming tour.
“The pain was so hard it nearly brought me to my knees. So I said, ‘The concerts are over. I have to go find out what is wrong.'”
Even though she talked about her pain, she would not confirm what exactly she is suffering from, which reports are claiming is pancreatic cancer.
When going in for her surgery in December, Williams told Franklin it was reported she was going in for abdominal surgery, to which she replied “Hmm. Is that what you heard?”
Aretha is currently recuperating and recently announced she will be going on tour this year, despite warnings from her doctors.
As soon as we hear when she’ll be in Southern California, we’ll let you know!
