Today the song to listen for is “Maneater” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hall & Oates[/lastfm] on ‘Tickets @ 2.’

This song is about a very seductive woman with expensive tastes. The lyrics “A she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar” refers to the high-end automobile.

It’s one of several Hall & Oates songs that Daryl Hall’s longtime girlfriend Sara Allen had a hand in writing. It was also a showcase song for Hall & Oates’ sax player Charles “Mr. Casual” DeChant.

“Maneater” was used on the soundtrack to the Julia Roberts and Richard Gere movie “Runaway Bride.”

We’ll take caller # 12 when we play it between two and three for Big Bear Mountain Resort lift tickets. Call us at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784)!
