On March 17th, 1973 [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pink Floyd[/lastfm]‘s Dark Side Of The Moon entered the Billboard album charts at number 95. Then 20 years ago this month, February of 1981, the album set the record for most weeks on the chart–and proceeded to stay on the chart until July of 1988 for a total of 736 weeks. Dark Side then had a run on the Top Pop Catalog Albums Chart for another 759 weeks. No other album comes close.
