Today it’s “Lean On Me” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bill Withers[/lastfm] on ‘Tickets @ 2.’

Bill got a late start in the music business, he was in his 30’s. After spending nine years in the Navy, and working in the airplane manufacturing business, as he once said installing toilets in airplanes, he launched his music career. “Lean On Me” reached # 1 on the chart in 1972.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kid Rock[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Keith Urban[/lastfm] performed a downbeat emotional version of this song on the charity telethon, Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, held in January of last year.

When you hear it play between two & three be caller # 19 to win tickets to see K-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]EARTH, Wind & Fire[/lastfm] at Honda Center. 1-800-232-KRTH. (5784) Hope to talk with you then.
