For the first time in months, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm] is finally speaking out about her health issues to let fans know that the Queen of Soul is feeling much better.
Franklin called into The Wendy Williams Show on Wednesday to let everyone know she’s feeling “superb” and spoiling herself with a little R&R after battling with — a still unknown — illness.
After giving her first interview last week to JET magazine, Franklin’s voice was heard for the first time since her medical treatment on The Wendy Williams Show (who isn’t shy about her obsession with the Queen of Soul).
Franklin announced, “My health is superb,” which caused a cheerful reaction from the audience. She’s planning to continue and rest and relax in order to fully recover from her mysterious illness by checking into a hotel for a “change of scenery” and perhaps looking for a “fabulous beach” (like Hilton Head S.C.) after two more weeks of down time.
To fans excitement, Franklin also announced she is “absolutely” planning on rescheduling all her tour dates she was forced to cancel during her treatment, including her big show at Radio City Music Hall.
It seems the soul diva is in great spirits after her scary medical issues, and like a true pro, plans to give fans what they want! Check out her full interview on The Wendy Williams Show below!
