This afternoon the ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Creedence Clearwater Revival[/lastfm] with their smash hit “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?”

This is John Fogerty’s take on the departure of his brother Tom from the band. The line, “I want to know — have you ever seen the rain comin’ down on a sunny day?” refers to Tom leaving while CCR was at their commercial zenith.

Tom left the group in early 1971. He released three solo albums before dying of tuberculosis in 1990.

Be the fourth caller when we play it between two and three at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) and win tickets to see Smokey Robinson ‘live’ at Pachanga Resort & Casino.

I love that song, “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” and life does bring that sometimes, doesn’t it? I have been a relatively huge fan of CCR since my early teens. Great band and great music!.
