Paul McCartney Plays To Save London Club
We told you about Paul McCartney’s recent intimate show at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, but the ex-Beatle wowed an even smaller crowd a few days later in London – all for a good cause!
McCartney played a special set at the 100 Club in London on Friday, which features a capacity of just 300 patrons, in an attempt to help raise awareness and funds so that the club can stave off the wrecking ball.
“It’s a great little venue so we were happy to be part of the campaign to save it,” McCartney said after the show. “It’s too good to lose. … We had a great time. It’s great playing those little clubs and the audience is so up close – it’s like you’re having dinner with them.”
The show was McCartney’s smallest gig in more than a decade.
Tickets for the show cost $90, but how much would you pay to see him play from as close as the above video?
