After 25 years, Larry King ended his landmark CNN talk show Thursday night with a star-studded goodbye. Dozens of celebrities and high-profile figures appeared on the program to give their touching goodbyes and well-wishes, including not one, but two U.S. Presidents!
President Barack Obama buzzed in on Larry King’s final show through a satellite feed to say a few kind words about the veteran broadcaster. Obama said, “I want to join all you by congratulating Larry King, one of the giants of broadcasting, on a truly amazing career.”
He wasn’t the only political leader to appear on the show, President Bill Clinton said his goodbyes and the “Govenator” Arnold Schwarzenegger officially declared December 16th “Larry King Day” in California!
Despite leaving his iconic news show on CNN, we won’t be missing the King for too long. We’ll be seeing him in other places like working in radio and appearing in CNN specials. Though we won’t be seeing him on his trademark CNN set, King said, “you’re not gonna see me go away.”
