After a whirlwind 2010, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sir Paul McCartney[/lastfm] will return to ring in the new year with gigs in London and Liverpool – where it all started those many years ago.
The performances will come at the Hammersmith Apollo and the O2 Academy, respectively – both of which are significantly smaller than the stadiums Sir Paul has been playing this year.
“I always love playing to a home audience and for me it’s the perfect way to end the year,” McCartney said. “We’ve had great fun with the stadium shows this year and we’re looking forward to the more intimate vibe of these ones. Christmas is the perfect excuse for everyone to let their hair down and rock out. We are looking forward to celebrating with the good people of London and Liverpool.”
Year-end shows for McCartney usually come with interesting set lists, as the shows are less about promoting a current album and more about celebrating the season.
