DreamWorks Studios has just announced an open casting call to search for the next young male actor to star alongside A-list actors in the upcoming film Welcome to People. This role is for a young male between ages 11-13 and requires no acting experience, and interested actors are invited to attend the open casting call!
The role for the DreamWorks picture is for a young male to cast as ‘Josh,’ who should be caucasian, athletic, independent and confident. The role requires interested actors to memorize lots of dialogue that is reflective of a PG-13 rated film.
The film, Welcome to People, is about a young businessman played by Chris Pine (Star Trek) who returns home after his estranged father’s sudden death. He uncovers a devastating family secret that sends him on a journey of self-discovery.
The film is the directorial debut of writer Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek/Transformers) and begins production in January in Los Angeles. The open casting call will be held on December 4 from 10-2 p.m. at Denise Chamian Casting in Sunset Gower Studios.
