Did You Know: Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"

Today’s Tickets @ Two features a number one hit from the Reverend [lastfm]Al Green[/lastfm], “Let’s Stay Together,” a song about unconditional love. It’s also makes for a very popular weeding song.

[lastfm]Al Green[/lastfm] wrote the hit with Al Jackson Jr., and Willie Mitchell. Jackson is a legendary Soul drummer who recorded with [lastfm]Booker T. & the MG’s[/lastfm] and Mitchell was Green’s producer. Besides numerous movies like The Ladies’ Man, On the Line, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Pulp Fiction, it was used in a television commercial for Tide laundry detergent.
