David Cassidy Disputes DUI Charges From His Arrest

David Cassidy, known as the straight-laced “Keith Partridge,” got himself into some legal trouble late on Wednesday night after police arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving. According to authorities, the former teen idol was seen swerving off the road numerous times, but Cassidy is insistent that he was not drunk.

Get both sides of the stories, see his incriminating mug shot and tell us…do you think David Cassidy was under the influence while on the road?!

This is the after shot of being charged with a DUI when Cassidy blew over the legal limit of .08  twice with a .139 and .141, and after cops found a half empty bottle of bourbon when searching his car.

He was seen swerving on and off the road of the Florida Turnpike around 8 p.m. Wednesday night, and was taken to a nearby jail on DUI charges, but was released around 3:22 a.m. on $350 bail.

But Cassidy is fighting back, asserting that he was not driving drunk. He admitted to police that he took a pain pill for his back hours before hitting the road, had a glass of wine earlier that day for lunch, and was tired from having to drive to a funeral that day.

He is also disputing the results of his breathalyzer tests saying his true BAC was not properly measured. His rep Jo-Ann Geffen stated that “he would not jeopardize anyone on the road and would not have been driving had he not had to go to a funeral…he’s never been arrested in his life before for anything.”

So now that you’ve seen the mug shot and heard both sides of the story, what do you think? Do all signs point to David Cassidy driving drunk, or do you believe he’s telling the truth?

Classic Elvis and Michael Jackson syndrome – never thinking you are an addict or alcoholic and having a staff of people who enable you until you get to the point of no return.

Poor David! I hope this was an isolated incident, and he doesn’t have a real problem. But the evidence does not support his denials. Just because he has never been in trouble before doesn’t mean he’s not guilty as charged. Just look at him here! He looks wasted as hell!!!! Sober up, David–we love ya!
