There’s nothing more traumatic than losing a loved one by the death of their own hand, and as the fourth leading cause of death among in the U.S., suicide is taking more and more shining lives.
Fortunately, there is something you can do to help those in desperate need; join Gary Bryan and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in a local community walk to help raise awareness and donations for the cause.
By joining in the community walks, you’ll be helping the AFSP raise money needed for use on research and education programs that help prevent suicide nationwide. You can march along with Gary Bryan and hundreds others to help save lives in LA’s Out of the Darkness community walk this weekend!
Register to walk for AFSP this Saturday, October 23rd starting at Santa Monica City Hall and ending at Palisades Park. Take in all the beauty in the world along the scenic route along the Pacific ocean and remember what life is worth living for and all the lives you’ll be saving in the process.
Check in starts at 7:45 a.m. and get your picture added to the Memory Boards, eat some early morning snacks and take your team picture on the steps of City Hall. Hosting the walk along with Gary includes Mariette Hartley & Jerry Sroka.
