Did You Know: The Top John Lennon Songs

Our weekend ‘Birthday’ tribute to [lastfm]John Lennon[/lastfm] was met with much heartfelt interest. Leaving a lasting legacy in music, it’s hard to┬ádecide which of many songs is his best, but an ongoing fan poll is trying to do just that.

“Imagine” is leading the way as the most popular John song. With 30 songs from both [lastfm]The Beatles[/lastfm] and his solo catalogue to choose from, the late rock legend’s 1971 peace anthem is topping the list of “Favorite John Lennon” songs with eleven-percent of the vote in an ongoing John-Lennon.com poll.

Taking a distant second place is The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever” with six percent of the vote. “In My Life” and “All You Need Is Love” each appeal to five-percent of voters for a third place tie. “Across The Universe,” “Come Together,” and “Revolution” also make the list’s top ten, along with “Give Peace A Chance,” “Woman,” and “Happy Xmas (War is Over).”

Thanks for listening!
