Hollywood has lost some of its brightest stars in the past week including iconic writer/producer, Stephen J. Cannell, who created some of TV’s most beloved and classic sitcoms like The Rockford Files, The A-Team and The Commish.

Cannell was a good friend of Gary Bryan and The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show and has been a frequent guest on the mic. So in remembrance of the late TV icon, listen back to a few of his interviews right here on K-EARTH 101.

Cannell passed away at the age of 69 in his home in Pasadena, Calif. last Thursday after suffering complications associated with melanoma. His three decade career as a producer in TV has spawned many hits including the Emmy-winning The Rockford Files that starred James Garner.

In addition to his many TV creations, Cannell was also an actor, most recently having a recurring role on ABC’s Castle. In recent years, Cannell switched his focus over to writing novels with his 16th novel The Prostitute’s Ball, which will be released later this month.
