Cher Wraps Up Las Vegas Residency

After nearly three years, [lastfm]Cher[/lastfm] will bring down the curtain on her show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in early 2011.

Tickets go on sale Saturday for her final run of shows at the Las Vegas landmark, with the final night being scheduled for February 5th. All in all, [lastfm]Cher[/lastfm] will have performed at Caesars Palace approximately 200 times over the course of the run.

The 90-minute show is part concert and part multimedia extravaganza, featuring clips of Cher on the “Sonny and Cher” show, a look back through her career and a mood-dependent stage, which changes from song to song.

“Cher is an entertainment legend,” said John Meglen, co-CEO and president of AEG Live/Concerts West, one of the show’s promoters.  “We are delighted that she has called The Colosseum at Caesars Palace home for three years.  We wish her luck in future endeavors and thank her and the cast and crew for their dedication.”

Tickets start at $95 for the shows.

Did you ever get a chance to check her out at Caesars? What did you think of the show?

I haven’t had a chance to see her show but know one of her backing vocalists Lisa Fischer who also sings with The Rolling Stones, Sting, and Tina Turner. She told me it was a good a vigorous show! It would be great if you’d post a video from her live show to let the listeners know what it’s like!
