Amazing Emmy Awards Opening Montage

View Comments

If you didn’t get to watch the 2010 Emmy Awards last night because you were too busy drooling over Jon Hamm in Mad Men, now you get to see him practicing his sexy moves with his sassy dance teacher, Betty White. The opening segment of the Emmy Awards was a hilarious homage to Glee using [lastfm]Bruce Springsteen[/lastfm]‘s “Born to Run” and various actors “sweating it out in the streets of a runaway american dream.”

While Jon Hamm‘s awkward (and decidedly adorable) dance lessons with Golden Girls vixen, Betty White, was the star performance, the opening segment also included: members of the cast of Glee (Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Corey Monteith and Amber Riley) and comedians Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon and Joel McHale. Oh, and Kate Gosselin getting rejected as a satirical jab to her Dancing With The Stars fiasco.

We would love to see an extended version of this on the upcoming season of Glee. “But till then tramps like us baby, we were born to run.”
