He may have died over three decades ago, but Elvis Presley’s spirit is being carried on by his following of loyal fans. Monday will mark the 33rd anniversary of the late musical legend and the closing ceremony of “Elvis Week” in Memphis, Tennessee.
The week is celebrated my thousands of people from all over the world, and has more than one event that raises money for charity. Like this Saturday’s 28th Annual Elvis Presley 5k Run, Walk, Rock & Roll, where over 2,000 will participate to help raise money for the United Cerebral Palsy foundation…
The week began on Tuesday with an Elvis Fan Reception and recreation of one of his first concerts at The Shell– and will conclude on the actual anniversary of his death, Monday August, 16 with a Finale Celebration Concert.
There are plenty of activities left until the closing ceremonies… if you’re a die-hard Elvis fan and decide you want to pay tribute to the king.
