I hope that you had a great weekend listening to our “American Hits Weekend” and doing whatever it is you do on weekends.
Here’s a little recap of my eventful weekend of first experiences and playing a relaxing game on the green.
I started Friday night by going to ‘The Rodeo,’ I can’t remember ever going to a Rodeo so it was a new experience influenced by a couple of “horse people.” I drove up to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds on what was a balmy beautiful night and watched ’em rope, buck the broncos, and ride the ring with flair and style.
The last time I rode a horse was up at Crestline and a stable with a bunch of gentle horses that obeyed commands and didn’t high tail off into the wilderness with me on board.
Like all other professional sports the pro’s make it look easy.
Then Sunday it was another one of my weekly ventures — golf. And here again is a sport that the pro’s make look easy, and week after week I go out in pursuit of birdies, pars, and as they say in golf scoring “others.” For me it’s a lot of “others” with an occasional par thrown in, and sometimes even a birdie. I was lucky enough to have a hole in one withe K-EARTH’s Gary Bryan as a witness, and even got a write-up in a local golf magazine, fun!
The weather was perfect and there’s nothing quite like communing with nature and the open fairways on a summer morning.
Now it’s back to qualifying people for Hawaii, giving away tickets on “Tickets at Two,” and playing The Greatest Hits on Earth, I hope to talk with you on our toll-free number, 1-800-232-KRTH.
