Jimmy Buffett Planning Free Concert To Support Gulf Coast
Celebrities are doing their part to help raise awareness and support for the catastrophic BP oil spill on the Gulf Coast. The island man himself, [lastfm]Jimmy Buffett [/lastfm], is gathering a few friends for a free show on Alabama’s coast just for this cause.

In little less than pristine shape to eat a “cheeseburger in paradise,” the Gulf Coast crisis is bringing out the charitable side of celebrities wanting to help do their part to clean up the mess.
[lastfm]Jimmy Buffett[/lastfm] and his Coral Reefer Band are pitching in by performing a free concert on Alabama’s coast to show their support for the Gulf region. On Buffett’s website, the island jam band says the concert is “meant to demonstrate support for the people, businesses and culture of the Gulf Coast.”
Joining Buffett on the bill includes [lastfm]Sonny Landreth[/lastfm], [lastfm]Zac Brown Band[/lastfm], [lastfm]Kenny Chesney[/lastfm], [lastfm]Jesse Winchester[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Allen Toussaint[/lastfm] and will air live on July 1 on CMT.
