According to an interview with entertainment reporter Robin Leech, Mike Love announced that Brian Wilson was planning on performing with the group for a series of concerts for their 50th anniversary celebration.
The Beach Boys are gearing up for next year’s 50th anniversary, and Mike Love told me that his cousin, founder and longtime member Brian Wilson, is reuniting with them for celebration concerts.
Brian Wilson has taken time off from performing with the group due to psychological issues, but continued contributing to the studio work. He later rejoined the group in the 80s and branched off into his solo work.
The Beach Boys are planning their 50th anniversary spectacular series of shows sometime next year, hopefully with the “smile” of Brian Wilson joining them onstage.
Oh, “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”?
