You Will Need Big Bucks To Advertise With The Big O!!
If you want to advertise on the finale of Oprah’s talk show, you better win the lottery. Word is advertisers will have to pay between $500,000 and $1,00,000 a spot for ads that will run during Oprah’s final week in Sept 2011. Now Just to give you an idea of how large that number really is, Broadcasting and Cable magazine says that besides the Super Bowl only 3 other shows commanded that much money before. The finale of “Lost” which got $950,000 a spot, “Everybody Loves Raymond” which took in 1.3 million from their advertisers. And the finale of Seinfeld which got 1.4 million for its spots. The difference though was those were all primetime shows with larger audiences than Oprah, which puts her far above the norm, but what else is new.
Can You Believe It’s Almost Been A Year Since Michael Jackson Died?
As we approach the 1 year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death his mom Katherine Jackson is getting ready to release 4 things. First a coffee table book, and then Michaels 3 kids. Let’s start with the book Katherine has decided to make a book about her son called, “Never Can Say Goodbye”. The book will feature photo’s from her personal stash along with reminiscences. The book which Katherine is extremely proud of will go on sale this Friday to coincide with the anniversary of Michael’s death. As for the other 3 things, Katherine is ready to release, Michaels kids. She says they miss they’re father desperately and are isolated and without friends. Part of the reason they have no friends is because they don’t go to school. But that will change in september when Katherine will enroll all 3 kids into a private school. All of us here at KRTH wish the best for the Jackson kids.
If this isn’t a sign that Sandra Bullock and Jesse James may be trying to patch things up, I don’t know what is.
On Friday Jesse’s attorney confirmed James was making a permanent move to Austin Texas next month where Sandy has been living for years, and where she has been living since there split. On Saturday Jesse told TMZ that “The first and foremost reason for the move is that his 3 kids want to be close to Bullock to continue their relationship”. As for his future with Bullock Jesse says, “Whatever happens, happens” James will move once he is finished filming a special for the History Chanel. Jesse will still keep West Coast Choppers and will work part-time from Austin.
