Fans Lead Lakers, Force Game 7

102128334 Fans Lead Lakers, Force Game 7

In unusual fashion, the Game 6 crowd managed to fill the Staples Center before the opening tip. Roars, chants, and boos were commonplace in the early minutes of the game. It seemed as if Laker fans wanted to “one-up” Celtic fans.

Lucky for the Lakers, they were able to pull off their very own one-up. Check out the details after the jump!

L.A. played with a desperate enthusiasm that fully shifted to the latter thanks to the lift from the home fans.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers early with a strong first quarter that featured 11 of his game high 26 points. The game was pretty much over by mid-way through the second quarter thanks to SMOTHERING defense and IMPRESSIVE ball movement.

Hands down, the Celtics played their worst game of the series in the embarrassing 89-67 loss, shooting a brutal 33% from the field.

Pau Gasol played like a man possessed in Game 6, falling only 1 assist shy of a triple-double, 17 points-13 rebounds-9 assists. His contribution to the game on both ends played out to be a huge catalyst for the Lakers.

For now, 3+3=1

1 game decides it all.

Game 7 will be played Thursday night at 6:00PM PST in Los Angeles.
