How will Kobe defend?? There is no doubt that Kobe is the best in the game, but can he chase Rajon Rondo or Ray Allen around the court for the better part of 48 minutes? If he does, how will it effect his offense? The Lakers have become very reliant on Kobe’s points.
Will Ron Artest be the shutdown defender we expect and need him to be? He will be given the tough task of containing Paul Pierce. Ron has shown he can stop the best in the league, but sometimes he’s too bullish. He feels the need to bully his opponent off the court by being too physical which leads to foul trouble. On a good note, Pierce will be guarding Kobe which is sure to slow down his offense
The last thing to watch for is how Pau Gasol matches up against Kevin Garnett. Back in 2008, when the two teams last met in the finals, Garnett had his way with Pau. He made him his BIT*H for lack of a better word. Actually there is no better word, that’s what happened. Pau’s goal should be to make Kevin Garnett’s life a living hell.
If the Lakers can win those matchups or at least 2 of 3, then I SEE A REPEAT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!
LET’S GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
