The music of [lastfm]Paul McCartney[/lastfm], POST [lastfm]BEATLES[/lastfm], is returning!!!
Reissues will be distributed by Concord Music Group.
Concord is an independent label owned by one of the most successful 70’s TV producers!!
The very same man who brought shows like “All In The Family,” “Sanford and Son,” “Maude,” “One Day At A Time ” and so so many others to home screens in living rooms of Americans all across the country from the 60’s up until the 80’s, Norman Lear (Yes! THAT Norman Lear)…owns Paul’s new “home” for music.
The first reissue is scheduled for August; Paul and Wings’ “Band On The Run.”
Bonus material will be included in the re-release.
There will be a “McCartney Marathon of Music” as other familiar titles will follow!!
EMI’s agreement with Sir Paul has ended, clearing the way for the new label, though the just-announced pairing will not alter EMI’s handling of the Beatles’ catalog.
Paul says, “Since the release of ‘Memory Almost Full’ in 2007 (a highly acclaimed recent album), I’ve had a good working relationship with Concord and enjoyed our mutual love of music.”
