Madonna will soon be putting her “style-sense” in stores. She has teamed up with Macy’s to launch a “Material Girl” (of course, what else??) line of fashions.
She’s creating a junior clothing collection, which she’s designing with her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes to market to teens.
“Material Girl” will also include accessories like shoes, handbags and jewelry.
Just in time for back-to-school shopping, Madonna and Macy’s are expecting to introduce “Material Girl” in August.
Plans are also under way to expand the line in 2011. They’re considering introducing a fragrance and other items spanning “lifestyle and beauty sectors” next year.
If all this “Material Girl” stuff goes well, Madonna and Macy’s already have a deal set up to launch more brands together in the future. Items in the “Material Girl” line will have a modest price tag, ranging from 12-to-40-dollars.
