Be The Academy: Best Actress in a Leading Role

theblindside sandrabullock 500x257 Be The Academy: Best Actress in a Leading Role

The race for ‘Best Actress’ is going to be tight.  It’s been a real tossup between Sandra Bullock and Oscar veteran and sixteen time nominee [lastfm]Meryl Streep[/lastfm].  Both have earned awards for their roles, but it remains to be seen who’ll take home the statue.  In addition to the two front runners Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe & Helen Mirren are also nominated in the category.

Let us know who you think should win by voting after the jump!

I like upsets, like “Rocky” when no one believed it to win Best Picture.
So I pick, “Precious,” Mo’nique, and Gaborey (spell), to win three categories, I choose Jeff Bridges, and I walked out of “Avitar” (don’t care how it’s spelled) because Marines aren’t used to remove people, for a private financial scheme, from their land. It galled me to see the racism in this movie, cartoonish or live actors notwithstanding! Boo to Cameron, shame on his movie, a gazillion dollars over.
