We’re happy to say that New Orleans resident, Mr. Domino, who was very inconvenienced by Hurricane Katrina, at last report has his “land legs” once again….

He had a slew of big hits in the 50’s and early 60’s….

His biggest was “Blueberry Hill.”

Fats was inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in 1986 and, the following year, was given a “Lifetime Achievement” GRAMMY award!

Fats was born in New Orleans.

The late Johnny Cash, who placed 59 songs in the top 100 in a 20 year span, INCREDIBLY only scored ONE Top Ten Hit during that time; “A Boy Named Sue,” in 1969 (it peaked at #2 nationally).

Mitch Ryder, along with the Detroit Wheels, gave us “Jenny Take a Ride,” “Sock It To Me Baby,” and the groups’ biggest…”Devil With a Blue Dress.”

finally, a happy birthday to Sandie Shaw, who came to the U.S. on the coat-tails of the Beatles, right after the 1964 British Music Invasion.  Sandie placed tunes like “Always Something There To Remind Me” and “Girl Don’t Come” on the national top 100 during 1965.
