A study just released by INRIX National Traffic Scorecard has Los Angeles listed as the number 1 traffic congested city in the Country…again.
According to the study, the worst place and time for traffic bottlenecking is on the 110 Northbound at 8th street on Thursdays between 5-6pm.
Travel time was determined by monitoring GPS units in more than 1.5 million cars.
Due to the recession and the number of people out of work, traffic gridlock reached its low point in the second quarter of 2009, but picked up again towards the end of the year, back to levels seen in 2005.
Rounding out the remainder of the top 5 cities after L.A. are New York, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Dallas/Fort Worth.
